Flying Beagle Fibers

Flying Beagle Fibers was established in 2016 by fiber artist Joanna Van Engel, but it was an ember in her brain for many years - smoldering, burning, and growing into what it is today. Joanna is a knitter and spinner whose passion is everything fiber and color. Her ideal life would be one where she could take part in every part of the fiber process - from sheep to sweater. When she's not in the dye studio, she's visiting fiber farms, checking out local art for inspiration, or teaching knitting at the local boutique.

Lady (pictured here) is the namesake of Flying Beagle Fibers. A nine year old Beagle, Lady was adopted (or she adopted us?) from the Killeen, Texas, Animal Shelter in 2012. Her hobbies include laying on the sunny spot on the couch, howling at (but never catching) rabbits, and dancing for her dinner. Watch for Lady sightings on our Instagram.
